WELCOME TO THE METTĀ VIEW The Mettā View weaves together stories, lessons, and reflections from the varied areas of my work—business development, conscious communication, coaching, mindfulness, and strategy—while offering a mindful lens that invites new perspectives and insights. It’s a gift from my heart-mind to you, dear reader. May it bring you inspiration and invite moments of reflection and connection. ✨ Hello friend, In my work with clients, particularly solopreneurs, I notice that we always plan with ideal circumstances in mind. No one sits down and thinks: Let me design a beautiful launch strategy and then throw in a surprise disruption — the cosmic banana peel, as Anne Lamott calls those life events that send us slipping off course. We plan for the best because, of course, we’re hoping for the best. Ah well. You may remember I mentioned surgery back in July. Nothing too dramatic (thank goodness), and I was thrilled the surgeon could fit me in right when I wanted. A little rest in August, and I'd return fresh for my launch — that was the plan. Except my body had other ideas. Surgery was canceled. Plans collapsed. And as strange as it may sound, it may have been a stroke of luck (a story for another day). True to form, with things out of my control, I went into research mode, firing off emails and digging to find options to put things back on track. To my great surprise, I discovered new, less invasive treatment options that had never been offered to me prior. Hallelujah. So now I’m in the hands of a new medical team. And now — I wait. For dates. For availability. For news. Maybe it’ll be next week, maybe three months from now. I don’t love uncertainty, so I’m doing my best. Here’s where this connects to you: when you’re in the middle of planning a launch, this type of limbo is far from ideal. Which is why I’m sharing this with you. I have a lovely plan outlined, and I’m going to start unfolding it. At any moment, though, I may need to pause, cancel, or rework things so I can take care of what matters most. For now, getting started feels right. So I will, in a couple of days — starting with a series of emails about the pillars of Le Trente and our September programme. Consider this an advance apology if ‘the plan’ gets interrupted. As I read the other day: no plan survives contact with reality. Amen. Much love, PS. I’m slightly surprised to have written in ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘Amen’. It goes to show, this stuff runs deep. ![]()
